Shadow Play

Another visit to my “storage paradise” ended up with this finding: an Indonesian shadow puppet which is as beautiful under the light as it is against it. Made of leather and beautifully decorated with colors. Hand Made-Quite a treasure. Do kids still play these days with these? I remember that in Greece, Shadow Puppet Theaters were a big thing. Maybe I should come up with a shadow puppet playstation…

Alice Life Lessons - and my new bag!

This just came in the mail. I love Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (by Lewis Carroll) and everything that she stands for… I also love Tea parties!

This messenger bag by baba-store in magical Prague, fits all my daily-carry-around and some more. It has an adjustable strap and can be worn as a backpack too. It adds inspiration to any casual outfit. You can browse the fabulous Baba collection at their online baba-store!

The small beautiful cups are from my private collection, most of them bought in flea markets around the New York area. There were times that I was really obsessed about collecting them and initiated trips just for that. They are perfect for Greek coffee as well as for Espresso. I had the statue of Wonder Woman for a few years before I got married. I thought of it as my Venus and as a symbolic source of feminine power. I bought it on a 50% closing down sale from the amazing Warner Bros megastore on 57th & 7th Av, in NYC. Nowdays she stands next to poet Bialik, a sculpture by artist Igael Tumarkin, acquired by my husband at an auction.

A Strange Tree whose name I don’t know

title

Another tree. At some point I thought this was a fig tree, but the more I look at it, I have no clue. It actually looks more like a character than a tree. A strange character, that is.

Splash of Pink

Splash of pink

Just found this. I’m still not sure whether I like this unexpected splash of pink or if I feel sorry for the poor tree that needs to eat pink toxic…
