This is an ABC book I made long ago. Each sweet is for one of the abc letters… Made with all sorts of construction papers, scissors and glue - which not always lasts the test of time. I now feel nostalgic and I crave some cake too!

I’m in a hurry! I will explain what this is later today!

Toyota initiated this booklet about Eco Living - small things that you can change in your lifestyle (your car, at work, at home) that have positive effects on the environment.
The illustrations were done with a medium black marker and some of them slightly altered in the computer. I like that quick and immediate style. The challenge sometimes is to find a good idea that will fit with the text!
Most of all I admire Toyota’s initiation

This is the cover of the children’s book “Right or Wrong?” written by Datia Ben-Dor, illustrated by Monicka Clio Sakki (that’s me). Will be printed and published in the next couple of months!

In the summer I usually wear a brown Australian hat - it keeps the sun away and it’s wind proof. many people see me and ask: “Where are the horses?”. So, well, here they are!
This bag is made out of a Japanese calendar (the woven horses fabric was the page of the year of the horse) coupled with the remainders of my grandmother’s living room upholstery.

This hand bag spells spring time to me. I just finished it - made from a sari I bought 16 years ago in Yogyakarta (Jogja), Indonesia (was it SO long???). The double-lining is deep pink and purple, from the left overs of a dress I made ages ago as well. The handles are brand new from M&J Trimming in NYC. The button and ochre trimmings belonged to my grandma. A purse, my keys and cell should fit quite nicely in it. Too bad i don’t know how to make shoes…
Hello! After a long time of trying to define what a blog is, and how to survive it - if at all - I got inspired by some other amazing blogs, and decided to focus on Inspiring Things. Here are my first gouache color pots. I still re-wet them with clean water and create the same hues.
